If they worked then we'd see lots of women wandering around looking much younger than their actual age, but I haven't seen any yet. Rather than merely sitting on top of your skin (like cosmetics do) they have active ingredients in them (such as, Retinoids, AHAs, Botanicals, Vitamins) that penetrate deeply into the skin, acting more like a drug than skincare. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The word does sound scary but it doesn't mean the products necessarily are.
