Following two violent incidents in high schools in both NZ and Australia this week, MiNDFOOD asks: Is violent behaviour in schools becoming endemic? Is it solely the Education Department’s responsibility to create policy to deal with these problems?

Let us know what you think.

I don't think people really get what violence is....

its not just about someone being physically violent towards someone else.  Violence can can be verbal and quite insidious behind the scenes where someone trys to do someone else harm.

Its everywhere.... in our schools, our workplaces, our homes, our newspapers and our movies.

Violence in general is a hot topic and in NZ we have a national referendum about smacking as part of good parental correction should it be a criminal offence? (not sure if I have got the question 100% correct.  The nation appears to be divided about this issue.

Would be interested in others peoples point of view....

Cheers,

Rose
