| I have always wondered about more expensive skin care and whether the fragrance means it is more preferable, ie, I love skin care with a great fragrance as it makes me feel 'happy; before bed time. Other thoughts?

| Lavender is meant to be good before bed, as it calms you.

| I prefer products that use natural fragrances, like the Dermalogica range. When I first started using their night cream I found the fragrance a little off-putting (despite the shop assistant gushing about how great it smelt), but you get used to it. Plus there's piece of mind that you aren't putting anything artificial onto your face - and if that doesn't help you sleep...

I agree Karen, there must be some element of the scent that makes us feel that the product is doing us some good. I actually prefer little or no fragrance, but instead smoke the room out by burning essential oils! Top picks - Jasmine, Ylang Ylang (if anyone can inform me how to say the latter one correctly please do )
