If you found a burglar in your home, what would you do?

A young man died today after he was found stealing from someone's home. See the link below for more info.

Do you think people have the right to defend themselves (and their families) against intruders?

I think this is one of those situations where you can't predict what you would do.

I feel as though this article takes Marsh's side, which is a bit unfair. For instance the caption reads - 'Self defence' ... Guilherme Pires at his Marrickville home - by using quotation marks, it's as if they (the publication) are questioning his claims.

I know if it were me trying to protect myself from an intruder I probably wouldn't even think about my actions, I would just do whatever was going to keep me safe and to protect my family or belongings, etc., the last thing I would be thinking about is whether or not those actions will affect the person stealing from me and putting me in danger.

It's a natural instinct to want to defend yourself and I'd like to think that, in a case like this, it would be considered the right thing to do.

Stealing is prohibited and it should be punished but stealing leading to death is way too long. We all know when it comes to stealing the punishment that comes to our mind is that "Hands cut in Arabia" which seems ok to set an example for others that they should not steal. But death its very harsh.

Everyone should have the right to defend them self. What if the thief uses a weapon and tries to harm us?
Its obvious that we have to defend ourselves.

Finally I found the marquees and party tents for my grand party.
